DESCRIPTION:

The home shirt that Manchester City utilised for the 2012-13 was inspired by the clubs first ever home shirt, as it deviated from the white trimmings of the last few campaigns, in favour of black accents. This was the shirt worn in the victories over Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea (at home), and Manchester United in the league. Furthermore, this was the last season that Umbro produced the kits for Manchester City, before transitioning to Nike ahead of the 2013-14 campaign. As well as being the last shirt Umbro produced for the club, this would be the last jersey to be worn by the likes of: Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli, Kolo Toure and Gareth Barry; 4 of the major signings of the early years of the Sheikh Mansour reign.
