DESCRIPTION:

After a breath-taking quadruple of shirts Nike and Jordan put together for PSG in the previous season; they may have surpassed themselves with the set crafted for the new season! Also bearing the new sponsor of All Accor; the 3rd shirt is the jewel of the crown; owing to the shirt used 1989-90 season, this is an incredible throwback! Using the blue and red stipes down the left side of the chest, this shirt is blessed with the collar and the use of the retro Nike swoosh and wording. Moreover, the shirt features the nuance of faint diagonal grey stripes, and the word ‘Paris’ embossed into the blue and red stripes; altogether creating one of the best shirts released of the season.

THE SEASON:

Despite winning 27 of his first 30 Ligue 1 games in charge of PSG; Thomas Tuchel’s debut season at the Parc des Princes would be remembered somewhat disappointingly, especially in wake of their shock Champions League exit against Manchester United in the round of 16. Injury to Neymar at the cursed February checkpoint yet again did not help his cause, and to try and mitigate the same mistakes from repeating again, Paris Saint Germain acquired the services of: Ander Herrera, Pablo Sarabia, Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye, Sergio Rico, Keylor Navas and Mauro Icardi. PSG would begin the season by getting revenge against Rennes for their Coupe De France exit last term, by defeating them to win the Trophee des Champions, and at the time of writing, lead Ligue 1 with a fine return of 13 wins from 16, and successfully reached the Last 16 of the UEFA Champions League by finishing undefeated at the top of Group A; claiming a fine 3-0 win against Real Madrid on Match-Day 1!

The notable players that season were:

Mauro Icardi, Eric Maxim Chupo-Moting, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar Jr, Edinson Cavani, Pablo Sarabia, Julian Draxler, Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes, Idrissa Gueye, Marco Verratti, Juan Bernat, Thomas Meunier, Thilo Kehrer, Presnel Kimpembe, Thiago Silva, Abdou Diallo, Marquinhos, Layvin Kurzawa, Keylor Navas, Sergio Rico
