2007-08 Manchester City Home Shirt Size XXL
Team: Manchester City
Brand: Le Coq Sportif
Era: 2007-08 (Used for the 2007-08 Barclays Premier League season)
I would say that this shirt is in decent condition, as the photos show however; there is some staining and wear to the shirt as well as slight dis-colouring. In addition, there is some slight bobbling and pulls to the material, they are reasonable however and nothing less than one would really expect from a shirt which is nearly 10 years old.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 24 inches
Shirt Length: 31 inches
Although there is no size label on the shirt, after measuring the dimension, I would ascertain that this would fit either an XL or XXL adult.
This shirt holds a place in Manchester City fan's hearts as this season was the pre-cursor to the Sheikh Mansour takeover in 2008, beginning with Thaskin Shinawatra’s take over of the club in the summer of 2007! Furthermore, this was a taste of things to come, as for the first time the club found themselves in a position bring in world class players and personnel and evidenced by the coup's of: Eriksson, Geovanni, Elano et al; not to mention the double over Manchester United in the league.
The notable players that season were:
Daniel Sturridge, Felipe Caicedo, Valeri Bojinov, Georgios Samaras, Darius Vassell, Benjani, Rolando Bianchi, Elano, Geovanni, Nery Castillo, Emile Mpenza, Micael Johnson, Dietmar Hamann, Gelson Fernandes, Stephen Ireland, Martin Petrov, Vedran Corluka, Michael Ball, Richard Dunne, Micah Richards, Nedum Onuoha, Sun Jihai, Javier Garrido, Joe Hart, Kasper Schmeichel
