Nike’s presentation of Pumas UNAM’s 2016-17 home shirt is nothing short of legendary, even amongst a pantheon of shirts that season in, season out; push the boundaries of design excellence! This shirt in the classic took the classic navy, tan and gold colours of the club and implanted an incredible Aztec inspired designed with the club crest of the Pumas UNAM emblazoned at the heart of the shirt; in our opinion, creating one of the finest football shirts made during the decade of the 2010’s! This shirt would be worn by Pumas as they enjoyed a fine 6^th place finish during the Torneo Apertura before being beaten in the quarter final of the play-off against UNAL Tigres. The Mexico City based side would enjoy a sharp decline during the Clasura phase of the league as they finished in 18^th place; altogether culminating in an 11^th place aggregate finish for the 2016-17 season.
