2014-15 Manchester United 3rd Shirt Size Small - Di Maria #7
Team: Manchester United
Era: 2014-15 (Used for the 2014-15 Barclays Premier League season)
Name/Number: Di Maria #7
CONDITION: VERY GOOD
Only a tear in the collar prevents this shirt from being labelled as excellent; as it appears that the collar was torn, only to be manually reattached. While the stitching is brutally evident, the Nike swoosh, decal, and name and numbering print stand as out immaculate.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 17.5 inches
Shirt Length: 28.5 inches
Unlike the home shirt, this 3rd shirt fits more like a conventional Nike ‘Dri-Fit’ shirt, and as one would expect, conforms to a brilliant size small fitting shirt.
The 2014-15 would signal the beginning of the Louis Van Gaal era at Old Trafford, and the first to bare the lucrative Chevrolet sponsorship following the 4 seasons with AON as the primary sponsor. The 2014-15 jersey would be the last to be made by Nike, and in their final offering they complemented the classic red home shirt, and white away shirt, with a fine royal blue and red 3rd strip! Like the away shirt, this shirt also features a collar, and became the first blue Manchester United made by Nike to feature red as the secondary colour since the 2005-06 away shirt! This particular blue effort would be most memorably worn as United defeated Arsenal and Southampton away from home during their 6 match winning streak at the end of 2014.
