2009 Spain Home Shirt Size Small
Era: 2009 (Used for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, and during the 2010 FIFA World Cup Qualifying campaign)
This rare and spectacular shirt still comes in excellent shirt, some 10 years after its release! It has been sparingly used, so naturally, the material, crest and Adidas embroidery comes in excellent condition.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 18 inches
Shirt Length: 28.5 inches
Made in the Adidas ‘ClimaCool’ range ahead of the 2009-10 season, this shirt provides a stunning size small fitting football shirt.
Ahead of Spain’s participation in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, Adidas released a new home shirt for ‘La Roja’ as they attempted to win the curtain raiser to the World Cup. The shirt made its debut in Spain’s World Cup qualifying victory over Turkey on 28/03/09, and while Spain would fall short at the semi-final in the Confed’s, the nation would lose no less credibility ahead of the turn of the new decade! This shirt, although used for less than a year, remains in my opinion, one of the finest Spain shirts that Adidas created. Unlike any other Spain shirt, this shirt features a bold navy strike down the right side of the shirt, complimented fantastically by the gold accents and of course the classic red of the national team.
The notable players that season were:
Fernando Torres, David Villa, Daniel Guiza, Fernando Llorente, Albert Riera, David Silva, Cesc Fabregas, Santi Cazorla, Juan Mata, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, Pablo Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets, Sergio Ramos, Carles Puyol, Carlos Marchena, Carles Puyol, Raul Albiol, Alvaro Arebloa, Iker Casillas, Pepe Reina
