2003-05 Manchester United Away Shirt Size Small
Team: Manchester United
Era: 2009-10 (Used for the 2003-04 & 2004-05 Barclays Premiership seasons, and the 2005 FA Cup Final)
Inevitably, the shirt does carry a couple of stains, and the Vodafone symbol has begun to fray around the perimeter. Bar these aberrations however, the shirt is still in fantastic shape, and the completely embroidered crest is a throwback to how shirts were made before the half way point of the noughties.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 19 inches
Shirt Length: 27.5 inches
Made in the pre-Total 90 era between 2003-04, the shirt makes a fine size small, while the sleeves a fairly baggy, the elasticated cuff ensures that the sleeve still feels snug when worn.
The first Manchester United away shirt in black since the 1998-99 season; Nike did a masterful job in creating a two-tone effect within the confines of the colour black. Supplemented with thin white trims, this is one of the best shirts Nike made for the club in my opinion.
The notable players that season(s) were:
Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Louis Saha, Diego Forlan, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Roy Keane, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Wes Brown, Mikael Silvestre, Tim Howard, Roy Carroll
