2003-04 SS Lazio Away Shirt Size Small
Era: 2003-04 (Used for the 2003-04 Serie A season)
This shirt’s best days are clearly behind it, with the material bearing a significant amount of bobbling, wear, and even some staining. Furthermore, the felt Puma logo and font has worn down. The crest however is in great tact, and the shirt still remains ideal to wear when playing football or working out, and given the rarity of the shirt, may still even be worth keep amongst a collection.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 18.5 inches
Shirt Length: 26 inches
Sizing wise, the dimensions suggest that this would be a perfect fitting size small shirt.
Lazio returned to the Champions League after a stunning 2002-03 season, where despite some major departures, finished 4th in Serie A, and reached the semi-final’s of both the UEFA Cup and the Coppa Italia! With Siemens Mobile ending their 3 year relationship with Lazio, the club began the season sponsorless, before Parmacotto, and Indesit stepped in as the club’s shirt sponsor. A tumultuous season would see the club cruelly miss out on Champions League football by just 4 points, the blow would be softened however by the winning of the Coppa Italia as they defeated Juventus 4-2 over two legs! White would be re-introduced as Lazio’s away strip for the first time since the 2000-01 season, unlike previous white iterations that featured blue and yellow accents; this rendition was strictly white with black accompaniments. Moreover, this edition is one of the aforementioned sponsorless versions of the shirts.
The notable players that season were:
Roberto Muzzi, Claudio Lopez, Bernardo Corradi, Simone Inzaghi, Stefano Fiore, Sergio Conceicao, Cesar, Christian Manfredini, Dejan Stankovic, Fabio Liverani, Giuliano Giannichedda, Demetrio Albertini, Dino Baggio, Jaap Stam, Fernando Couto, Massimo Oddo, Giuseppe Favalli, Sinisa Mihajlovic, Paolo Negro, Luciano Zauri, Angelo Peruzzi
