2010-11 Real Madrid Away Shirt Size Medium - Ozil #23

Real Madrid

  • £34.99

THE VITALS:

Team: Real Madrid

Brand: Adidas

Era: 2010-11 (Used for the 2010-11 La Liga season)

Name/Number: Ozil #23

CONDITION: GOOD

Sadly, on this article, the felt badge has begun to shear from the edging, and consequently, has had to be glued back into place. Moreover, the neck lining also displays bobbling at the back, however, the name, numbering, and sponsor remain utterly immaculate. I should also point out, that the Real Madrid crests on the numbers have been printed the wrong way, leading me to think that this shirt may have been a factory misprint.

DIMENSIONS:

Size: Medium

Pit to Pit Measurement: 20 inches

Shirt Length: 30 inches

Sizing wise, despite it being an Adidas ‘ClimaCool’ piece from the early part of the decade, the dimensions still lend themselves to a fine medium fit.

DESCRIPTION:

While black alternate strips have been synonymous with Real Madrid, the 2010-11 season would mark the first time that Real Madrid would be given a black away shirt since the 2006-07 season, although the green trim is seemingly more of a homage to the 3rd shirt used in the 2007-08 season. This black ensemble with fluorescent green trim would be used in the respective 4-1, 3-1, 6-3, and 6-2 hammerings of: Malaga, Racing Santander, Valencia, and Sevilla. Adidas also included the caveat of the sun rays emanating from the crest, just as they employed on the home strip, however unlike the home shirt; Adidas decided to use a felt badge in the away shirt.

The notable players that season were:

Emmanuel Adebayor, Karim Benzema, Gonzalo Higuain, Cristiano Ronaldo, Alvaro Morata, Sergio Canales, Mesut Ozil, Pedro Leon, Angel di Maria, Pablo Sarabia, Kaka, Xabi Alonso, Lassana Diarra, Mahamadou Diarra, Esteban Granero, Fernando Gago, Sami Khedira, Alvaro Arbeloa, Marcelo, Raul Albiol, Sergio Ramos, Ezequiel Garay, Pepe, Ricardo Carvalho, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Iker Casillas, Jerzy Dudek
