DESCRIPTION:

After a glorious 2016-17 season that saw Real Madrid scoop up the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, La Liga, and become the first side to successfully defend the Champions League in its current format. The season would begin defeating Manchester United to retain the UEFA Super Cup before comprehensively thrashing Barcelona 5-1 in the Supercopa de Espana! The year of 2017 would end with Real Madrid also successfully defending the FIFA Club World Cup. While the La Liga campaign was a disappointment, the club would secure an unprecedented 3^rd straight UEFA Champions League title as they saw off Liverpool 3-1 in the Kyiv finale! Teal would be the colour of choice chosen by Adidas to supplement the classic white of Real Madrid for the 2017-18 season. A v-neck collar would also be used for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and like that season’s shirt, the arm band was also elasticated. The main feature of the shirt would be the diagonal stripes that were subtly implemented; possibly another ode to that shirt.
