DESCRIPTION:

Puma’s second season as Arsenal’s kit supplier did not disappoint, as the home and away shirts were nothing short of modern classics! The home shirt was one of the finest shirts ever crafted for the Gunners! Beginning with the throwback to the 2006-08 home shirt in the form of classy hoop-neck collar and inclusion of the gold accents, however the inclusion of the buttons really bring the collar to the fore. The second discerning feature comes in the form of the white sleeves which cover the shoulders as well as the arms; altogether creating one of the classiest and finest shirts introduced in world football that season!

THE SEASON:

The first test of their credentials that season came as they met Chelsea in the 2015 Community Shield match, and ‘the Gunners’ rose to the challenge by defeating the 2014-15 Premier League champions; gifting Arsene Wenger his first ever win over Jose Mourinho! The club’s fine autumn form would see them rack a 5 match winning streak which included a 5-2 win over Leicester City and a blistering 3-0 win over Manchester United! They would end 2015 at the summit of the league, and although they would ultimately finish in 2nd place; this would be the club’s highest league finish since 2005, and Mesut Ozil’s 19 assists would surpass the record set by Cesc Fabregas in the previous season, and Cech would keep the most clean sheets in the league with an excellent 16 shut-outs!
