2008-09 Real Madrid Away Shirt Size Medium – Sergio Ramos #4
THE VITALS:
Team: Real Madrid
Brand: Adidas
Era: 2008-09 (Used for the 1st Leg of the Supercopa De Espana match, and for the 2008-09 La Liga season)
Name/Number: Sergio Ramos #4
CONDITION: GOOD
This shirt itself does sadly bear significant wear, especially to the collar, where the stitching is coming loose, and to the decal of the sponsor, and name and number print; all of which are cracking and beginning to fray, naturally these instances are reflected in the price. In spite of those blemishes, the material of the shirt itself, and the Real Madrid crest are still in very good condition and would still make a fine shirt to keep in the collection.
DIMENSIONS:
Size: Medium
Pit to Pit Measurement: 20.5 inches
Shirt Length: 30 inches
Made in the style of the 2008/09 Adidas ‘ClimaCool’ range; naturally, one can expect that this shirt will be very loose fitting, and baggy, and as the dimensions suggest, this shirt will likely fit someone who regularly wears a size large today.
DESCRIPTION:
For the first time since the 2005/06 season, Adidas equipped Real Madrid with a blue away shirt, however unlike the navy tones of the strip that season; the 08/09 offering was more akin to the 3rd shirt used in the 2004/05 season. Given a teal blue trim, this shirt will have to go down as one of the more unheralded alternate strips for ‘Los Blancos’!
The notable players that season were:
Ruud van Nistelrooy, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, Javier Saviola, Raul, Gonzalo Higuain, Arjen Robben, Rafael Van der Vaart, Wesley Sneijder, Dani Parejo, Guti, Javi Garcia, Mahamadou Diarra, Lassana Diarra, Marcelo, Christoph Metzelder, Gabriel Heinze, Michel Salgado, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Fabio Cannavaro, Iker Casillas, Jerzy Dudek
