DESCRIPTION:
The period of time from 2007-09, when Manchester United wore this home shirt will bring back many a happy memory for any fan of the ‘Red Devils’. Worn during the 2007-08 & 2008-09 seasons, where ‘United’ lifted the league on both occasions, as well the 2007 & 2008 Community Shield matches, Moreover, this was the jersey worn by Sir Alex Ferguson’s side as they won the UEFA Champions League in 2008 against Chelsea, and throughout the European campaign the following year, where they reached the final, only to be beaten by Barcelona in Rome. This was also the last shirt to be worn by Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez and Louis Saha, as well as, the shirt best remembered for Owen Hargreaves’ only season where he retained full fitness during his injury afflicted stay with the club. Many a classic victory, such as the wins over Chelsea during this period (4 in all competitions) and the 2007-08 semi-final win over Barcelona, and 2009 Carling Cup win over Tottenham, were pulled off, while bathed in the all red of the 2007-09 jersey.
