DESCRIPTION:

It was yet another summer of change for Chelsea, and it was classically ‘The Blues’, where the long-touted acquisition of Maurizio Sarri would take place, albeit in the middle of July! In spite of his late arrival, losing in the Community Shield and the loss of Thibaut Courtois; Chelsea would enjoy a fine season where Sarri set the record for an unbeaten start to the Premier League for a new coach, as he guided the club to 12 matches without defeat! An unfortunate penalty shoot-out loss would see them lose in the EFL Cup final against Manchester City, however they would rally from that defeat to eventually finish 3^rd, and in Eden Hazard’s departing gift for the club, deliver the Europa League when they defeated Arsenal 4-1! In the second offering by Nike since becoming Chelsea’s kit supplier, they would introduce red and white streaks against the classic blue canvas synonymous with Chelsea, in one of the more daring and adventurous Chelsea home shirts used ever created!
