DESCRIPTION:

Adidas would recreate the full decks of their 1999-00 and 2004-05 seasons of AC Milan repertoire with this glorious gold shirt! A fabulous and rare shirt in the AdidasXMilan pantheon; This shirt features a pure and rich gold backdrop, supplemented by black and red accents, while the addition of the pocket on the right breast makes for a fine supplement to an already amazing shirt! This shirt would be worn in (at the time of writing), the last game AC Milan played in the UEFA Champions League, which was the 2nd Leg of their Last 16 clash against Atletico Madrid on March 11th 2014.

THE SEASON:

The close season would see the return of Kaka from Real Madrid, having left the club in 2009, while Massimo Ambrosini and Kevin-Prince Boateng both left the club as the most high profile departures ahead of the new season. Much like the previous season, Milan began the season poorly, however, there would be no November renaissance as Max Allegri was relieved of his duties in January, with the club languishing in 11th place. Club legend: Clarence Seedorf took over the reins, and the club would win 11 of the 19 league games under his stewardship, missing out on Europe by just 3 points. Amidst the higher points of his regime; Milan would go on a 5 match winning run, where they reached a season high of 6th place, and they would also defeat Inter Milan on May 4th to win the Milan Derby!

The notable players that season were:

Mario Balotelli, Alessandro Matri, Stephan El Shaarawy, Andrea Petagna , Robinho, Giampaolo Pazzini, M’Baye Niang, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Keisuke Honda, Adel Taarabt, Nigel de Jong, Riccardo Montolivo, Bryan Cristante, Sulley Muntari, Antonio Nocerino, Riccardo Saponara, Andrea Poli, Michael Essien, Christian Zapata, Adil Rami, Philippe Mexes, Mattia De Sciglio, Ignazio Abate, Daniele Bonera, Cristian Zaccardo, Christian Abbiati, Marco Amelia
