DESCRIPTION:

It would be a fine season for Schalke as they came within 2 points of winning of the Bundesliga title! It would be bittersweet as the club defeated: Borussia Dortmund in the derby, as well as Stuttgart and Werder Bremen at home, and also drew with Bayern Munich at the Veltins Arena. The 2006-07 Schalke home shirt would be crafted in the collared variant of the 2006-07 Adidas ‘ClimaCool’ template. Whereas the previous season’s shirt featured very little by way of white; this season’s effort featured a white collar and heavy white accents against the classic royal blue of Schalke. This was also the debut of Gazprom as the club’s main shirt sponsor.
