Name/Number: -

CONDITION: VERY GOOD

This shirt, despite its years, does still stand in great stead; especially the white elements of the strip, the mesh and shirt material show very little wear. The red however does show bobbling, and sadly, the felt sponsor is also starting to crack in parts too.

DIMENSIONS:

Size: Large Boys

Pit to Pit Measurement: 18.5 inches

Shirt Length: 25 inches

Made in the mould of the 2002-03 Adidas ‘ClimaLite’ series; this shirt should not be brought for someone who wears size extra small, to the contrary this shirt would be better for a young teenager.

DESCRIPTION:

Adidas’ love affair with Ajax continued with their fine home shirt crafted for the 2002-03, and 203-04 seasons. Ostensibly very similar, however there were two home shirts made for the team; one for the domestic assault, and one for their European endeavours, the sole difference being that the European offering featured red 3-stripes down the arms, whilst the home version had all white sleeves. Fans will have fond of memories of Ronald Koeman’s tenure at the helm of Ajax during the cycle of this shirt, as they won the 2002 Johan Cruyff Shield, and reached the quarter final of that season’s UEFA Champions League, while the following campaign saw them reclaim the Eredivisie title!

The notable players that season(s) were:

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Wesley Sonck, Jari Litmanen, Ryan Babel, Rafael van der Vaart, Steven Pienaar, Andy van der Meyde, Wesley Sneijder, Vitor Sikora, Nigel de Jong, Richard Witschge, Jason Culina, Daniel de Ridder Abubakari Yakubu, Hatem Trabelsi, Andre Bergdolmo, Tomas Galasek, Cristian Chivu, John Heitinga, Thomas Vermaelen, Julien Escude, Maxwell, Petri Pasanen, John O’Brien, Jelle van Damme, Maarten Steckelenburg
