This shirt comes to you remaining in very good condition albeit with some small pulls and discolouring; nothing more than the wear and tear you would expect from a shirt that in now 6 years old at the time of writing.

Surprisingly, the dimensions of this shirt are quite roomy for a Nike ‘Dri-Fit’ shirt in size small, so please bare this in mind especially if you prefer your shirts to fit more snug. Likewise, if you are a size medium who prefers a tight fit, this may be ideal for you.

DESCRIPTION:

The 2014-15 season would signal the beginning of the Louis Van Gaal era at Old Trafford, and the first to bare the lucrative Chevrolet sponsorship following the 4 seasons with AON as the primary sponsor. The 2014-15 series of shirts would be the last to be made by Nike, and in their final offering, they would choose the classic white ensemble to compliment the red home shirt as the away shirt! This shirt would be remembered most as Manchester United defeated Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on 22/03/2015; completing the double over their fierce rivals in the midst of their fine 6 match winning run that elicited talk of a possible title charge!

THE SEASON:

The post-Sir Alex Ferguson season could not have gone much worse for Manchester United as David Moyes, the hand-picked successor to the legendary Scottish coach, was sacked before the 2013-14 season had ended, and the club finished in a Premier League low of 7^th!

The fall-out of the campaign saw Louis Van Gaal named as the club’s new manager ahead of the new season. A series of long serving players: Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra would all leave the club in the close season, while Ryan Giggs ended his long and storied career to become ‘LVG’s number 2. Shinji Kagawa, Nani, Javier Hernandez, Wilfred Zaha, Danny Welbeck and Alexander Buttner would all exit the club too before the summer transfer window closed.

This of course set the stage for an incredible series of transfer activity inwardly with the pair: Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera being confirmed in June, before the arrivals of World Cup stand-outs: Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind and the veteran: Victor Valdes were supplemented by the loan acquisition of: Radamel Falcao and club record signing: Angel Di Maria!

The 2014 International Champions Cup victory set incredibly high standards for United coming into the new season, however a defeat on the opening day of the season to Swansea, and an upset in the League Cup and the hands of Milton Keynes left ‘the Red Devils’ saw the team register just 3 wins in their opening 9 games ahead of back to back games with league pace-setters: Chelsea and Manchester City.

Solid showings, despite just a point being taken over both games set the stage for Louis Van Gaal’s side to start making ground and would put together a run of 10 games in succession without defeat, including a fine 6 match winning run that saw wins claimed over both Arsenal and Liverpool.

While the New Year would bring with it a dip in form; another 6 match winning run would be put together in spring where wins over: Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City brought United back to 3^rd place and with an very faint shot of possibly pursuing Chelsea for the title. While that dream was derailed following the 1-0 defeat to the eventual champions on 18/04/15; Manchester United would finish 4^th quite comfortably and secure their return to the UEFA Champions League in the 2015-16 season!
