While the majority of this shirt comes in very wearable and credible condition, there is regrettably some significant damage in the form of holes to the crest, and some cracking to the sponsor; naturally, these discrepancies have been reflected in the price.

DIMENSIONS:

Size: Extra Large

Pit to Pit Measurement: 20.5 inches

Shirt Length: 29.5 inches

Made in the Umbro template introduced ahead of the 2007-08 season; the dimensions of this shirt suggest it is probably better suited to a size large than XL.

DESCRIPTION:

Taking much from the 2006-07 season shirt, Umbro would go on to add to the base design with their diamond motif that adorned the lapels, while the side panels were given the Umbro speciality that season; the tribal pattern housed with the strikes. The cuffs of the sleeves are also quite stiff rather than elasticated, and please also bear in mind, that the Umbro diamond on the arm is vinyl and not embroidered like the chest application.

THE SEASON:

A successful 2006-07 season saw ‘The Toffees’ back in the top 6 and would only miss out on 5th by 2 points. While mainstays: James Beattie, Gary Naysmith, Alessandro Pistone, Richard Wright, James McFadden and Alan Stubbs all bade the club farewell, there would be the exciting additions of Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Yakubu permanently, while loan signings: Steven Pienaar, Thomas Gravesen, Manuel Fernandes and Anthony Gardner were added to help build on the foundations of the previous campaign. Everton werescintillating in Europe; winning 6 from 6 in their UEFA Cup group stage foray, including a 1-0 win over eventual winners Zenit St. Petersburg, meanwhile, after October, David Moyes’ side really gathered traction in the league too. The derby defeat at home to Liverpool on 20/10/07 set the stage for a fantastic spell of winning 13 of their next 17 games in the league. That fine work would set the stage for a fantastic 5th place finish, meanwhile, the fans would also be treated to a run up until the Last 16 of the UEFA Cup and a League Cup semi-final finish!

The notable players that season were:

Victor Anichebe, Yakubu, James Vaughan, Andrew Johnson, Andy van der Meyde, Steven Pienaar, Manuel Fernandes, Mikel Arteta, Tim Cahill, Leon Osman, Thomas Gravesen, Lee Carsley, Phil Neville, Nuno Valente, Leighton Baines, Joseph Yobo, Joleon Lescott, Anthony Gardner, Phil Jagielka, Dan Gosling, Jack Rodwell, Tony Hibbert, Tim Howard
