THE VITALS:

Name/Number: -

CONDITION: VERY GOOD

I would suggest that this shirt is still in very good condition, however the sponsor does show wear and cracking. Most of these shirts (unless brand new) will exhibit the wear to this degree and all things considered, the cracking could be a lot worse.

DIMENSIONS:

Size: Large

Pit to Pit Measurement: 22 inches

Shirt Length: 29.5 inches

This shirt is quite baggy, in fact I would go out on a limb say that this could probably fit an XL size as well; therefore, I would advise against buying this shirt if you wear a size medium shirt.

DESCRIPTION:

The season that ushered in the 12-year association between Nike & Juventus would begin with Nike paying homage to tradition with the minimalist black stripes against the white back drop. The defending champions of Italy and Champions League runners-up would start the new season by gaining a measure of revenge against AC Milan for the 2003 UEFA Champions League final, as they defeated Milan to win the Supercoppa Italiana. The 2003 portion of the season was nothing short of excellent for Marcelo Lippi’s side as they won 9 of their opening 14 games of the Serie A season. They would a win a further 9 from 12 between December 14th to March 6th, however a poor end to the season would see them finish 3rd and as runners up in the Italian Cup. Like most striped Nike shirts from 2003-04, the base of the shirt is solid in colour, so only when tucked in do the stripes show in their entirety, nonetheless, this is a classy and stylish shirt, perfect for any Juventus fan or football shirt collector. This was also the last shirt in which Juventus used their old crest that adorned the club’s shirts between 1990-2004.

The notable players that season were:

David Trezeguet, Alessandro Del Piero, Fabrizio Miccoli, Marco di Vaio, Pavel Nedved, Mauro Camoranesi, Edgar Davids, Stephen Appiah, Antonio Conte, Alessio Tacchinardi, Enzo Maresca, Alessandro Birindelli, Gianluca Zambrotta, Paulo Montero, Lillian Thuram, Ciro Ferrara, Nicola Legrottaglie, Salvatore Fresi, Gianluigi Buffon, Antonio Chimenti
