This shirt stands in excellent condition mostly, however a couple of the Fly Emirates sponsor lettering is starting to crack. The material however is immaculate, as are the Adidas embroidering and the club crest.
Pit to Pit Measurement: 19.5 inches
Shirt Length: 29 inches
Made in the Adidas ‘ClimaCool’ mould used during the 2011-12 season, this shirt provides a good size medium fit by Adidas’ standards for that era.
AC Milan’s first season of the new decade would start with the Massimiliano Allegri era, as the former Cagliari coach was chosen to replace Leonardo. That summer would also see the likes of: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robinho join the club, while the winter transfer window saw veterans: Antonio Cassano and Mark van Bommel join the club too as the club went on to win their first Scudetto since the 2003-04 season! This season would also begin Milan’s relationship with Fly Emirates as a sponsor, while a gold trim was implemented for the first time since the 2006-07 season. Unlike the previous season’s shirt which had a collar, and black sleeves; this strip was a far even split for the ‘rossoneri’ colours of the club, creating a majestic strip for the 5 time Champions League winners.
The notable players that season were:
Ronaldinho, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marco Boriello, Antonio Cassano, Pato, Robinho, Clarence Seedorf, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Urby Emmanuelson, Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso, Massimo Ambrosini, Mathieu Flamini, Mark van Bommel, Luca Antonini, Mario Yepes, Nicola Legrottaglie, Thiago Sliva, Gianluca Zambrotta, Massimo Oddo, Marek Jankulovski, Sokratis, Alessandro Nesta, Ignazio Abate, Daniele Bonera, Christian Abbiati, Marco Amelia
