Pit to Pit Measurement: 20.5 inches

Shirt Length: 30.5 inches

Like many of the Adidas football shirts made in 2002, the fit is very baggy, and while this shirt is labelled size medium; someone who is regularly a size large, should have no hesitation in picking this shirt up, as evidenced in the measurements.

DESCRIPTION:

Adidas’ second offering as Argentina’s kit supplier did not differ too much from the first in that a lovely celeste blue served as the backdrop for the two white stripes coming down either side of the middle parting, while white panels were again utilised down the side of the body. Many of the black accents were removed however, as both the collar and sleeves bear the same colour as the main body of the shirt. Regrettably, this fine strip will be synonymous with Argentina’s disappointing 2002 FIFA World Cup campaign, however this strip was the last to be worn by the likes of: Gabriel Batistuta, Ariel Ortega, Mauricio Pochettino and Diego Simeone.

The notable players that season(s) were:

Gabriel Batistuta, Hernan Crespo, Ariel Ortega, Javier Saviola, Pablo Aimar, Claudio Lopez, Kily Gonzalez, Marcelo Gallardo, Juan Sebastian Veron, Diego Simeone, Javier Zanetti, Roberto Ayala, Jose Chamot, Walter Samuel, Mauricio Pochettino, Diego Placente, German Burgos
