DESCRIPTION:
In the final season of Vodafone’s ill-fated spell as Manchester United’s main sponsor; Nike crafted the 2004-06 Manchester United home shirt in the mould of the Total 90 style which was in vogue at the time. Unlike the 2002-04 shirt, white would predominantly supplement the red, although black was still retained in the trim. Moreover, this would be the first shirt to be made using a printed sponsor, moving on from the felt sponsors that were previously used.
The notable players that season(s) were:
Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Louis Saha, Diego Forlan, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Park Ji-Sung, Roy Keane, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Rio Ferdinand, Gabriel Heinze, Nemanja Vidic, Gerard Pique, Patrice Evra, Mikael Silvestre, Wes Brown, Roy Carroll, Tim Howard, Edwin van der Sar
