This rare shirt stands in excellent condition, bearing very little sign of wear and bobbling, while the material is also in excellent condition; owing to the more robust material used by Kappa for their shirts in the mid-2000’s.

With the harder material used for these shirts, naturally some of the pliability is lost that the earlier Kappa shirts were famous for, and the result is the dimensions of this shirt being ideal for a size small looking to achieve ‘that’ Kappa look!

DESCRIPTION:

Kappa would take over as FC Copenhagen’s kit supplier ahead of the 2004-05 season, and true to form, the Italian designer’s would deliver with a classy and majestic design for FC Copenhagen’s inaugural home shirt! Dropping all of the accents and piping from the FCKLine shirt made in 2003-04; this would be a strictly all white body with blue Kappa embroidery and the Carlsberg sponsor emblazoned across the check in black; creating a truly gorgeous home shirt! This strip would be synonymous with FCK’s victory in the inaugural Royal League competition and 2004 Danish Super Cup triumph!

THE SEASON:

2003-04 yielded another successful season for FC Copenhagen as they completed the domestic double of the league and cup! They would begin 2004-05 by winning the Danish Super Cup, beating Aalborg in the curtain raiser to the Danish season.

A 2-0 draw away to Silkeborg on the opening day of the league season set the tone for a run of 4 games without a victory to open the season. Their respite would come as they beat Aalborg on August 29^th. The team would stutter along all season in the shadow of eventual champions Brondby, but would still beat Midtjylland to 2^nd place; occupying the position by virtue of a better goal difference.

In the Danish Cup, ‘Byens Hold’ would see their cup defence end in the semi-final by Brondby, however, in the inaugural Royal League competition; FC Copenhagen would become the champions of Scandinavia when they beat IFK Göteborg 11-10 in epic penalty shoot-out on 26/05/05.
