DESCRIPTION:

After reclaiming the Bundesliga title in 2002-03, it was an emotional summer in the transfer marker for ‘Die Rotten’ as Elber, Niko Kovac and Michael Tarnat all left the club, however, their departures opened the door for youth products: Michael Rensing, Christian Lell and Piotr Trochowski all promoted to the first team, while fellow youngsters: Tobias Rau and Martin Demichelis were signed, however, it was the mouth watering capture of Roy Makaay, that served as the jewel in the crown! The season began with being upset in the DFB-Ligapokal against Hamburg, which set the tone for the rest of the season. Not even a run of just 1 defeat in 17 games midway through the season would save the campaign as Bayern ended up finishing 2nd behind Werder Bremen. This is one of the most beautiful Bayern Munich shirts to ever be made by Adidas! The glossy shade of red was masterfully complemented with white sleeves and a small collar to create this classic. This shirt differs from the 2004-05 home shirt in that this is the last season that the club would have T-Mobile emblazoned across the front, before T-Com was used as the shirt sponsor. Although this was the domestic home shirt, this shirt was also used in the away game in the Champions League against Celtic on 25/11/03.

The notable players that season were:

Piotr Trochowski, Roque Santa Cruz, Alexander Zickler, Claudio Pizarro, Giovane Elber, Roy Makaay, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Sebastian Deisler, Owen Hargreaves, Hasan Salihamidzic, Thorsten Fink, Tobias Rau, Jens Jeremies, Michael Ballack, Ze Roberto, Mehmet Scholl, Thomas Linke, Robert Kovac, Samuel Kuffour, Bixente Lizarazu, Willy Sagnol, Oliver Khan
