That win set the tone for an 8 match unbeaten run; a feat that would be matched to close the season as the club finished 7^th. Luis Suarez would enjoy his true breakout season in England, as he rifled home 30 goals in all competitions, including 23 in the league, meanwhile, the January signings of: Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho were shrewd acquisitions that help lay wonderful foundations for the future!
