DESCRIPTION:
Huge things were expected of Manchester City after a £116 million summer spend that saw the likes of: James Milner, Mario Balotelli, David Silva, Aleksandr Kolarov, Jerome Boateng and Yaya Toure all arrive at Eastlands! The fans were not left disappointed as the club ended the season with a club Premier League record highest finish of 3rd place, and more importantly, winning the FA Cup when they beat Stoke City 1-0! This shirt bears many similarities to the 2009-10 home shirt with the main exceptions being the shade of sky blue used and that the 2010-11 home shirt featured white hoops on the sleeve, instead of the collar.
The notable players that season were:
Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez, Mario Balotelli, Edin Dzeko, Roque Santa Cruz, Jo, Shaun Wright-Philips, David Silva, Samir Nasri, Gareth Barry, Nigel De Jong, Patrick Vieira, Yaya Toure, James Milner, Vincent Kompany, Jerome Boateng, Micah Richards, Joleon Lescott, Kolo Toure, Pablo Zabaleta, Aleksandr Kolarov, Wayne Bridge, Joe Hart
