DESCRIPTION:

A fine 2006-07 season saw ‘Los Che’ finish 4th and reach the Champions League quarter final under Qique Sanchez Flores, and the club would look to build on that season by adding a mix of youth and experience to the side in the form of: Ever Banega, Hedwigs Maduro, Nikola Zigic, Timo Hilderband, Ivan Helguera, Marco Caneira and Juan Mata. A tumultuous season would unfold, as the club changed managers three times, while a Champions League group stage exit was coupled with a lousy 10th place league finish. The silver lining would be their Copa del Rey success, as they defeated Getafe to win the Spanish Cup! Furthermore, David Villa would enjoy yet another prolific season in front of goal, as he scored 18 goals to finish joint 4th in the Pichichi race. In spite of the season that followed, this jersey is nothing short of brilliant! Utilising a collar for the first time since the 2002-03 season, this shirt is an example of simple brilliance, with a plain white backdrop and complimented by orange accents to create a classic. This would also be the last Valencia shirt to bear the Toyota sponsor, ending their 5 year relationship, while this would also be Santiago Canizares final season at the club after serving the club so well for 10 years.

The notable players that season were:

Javier Arizmendi, Nikola Zigic, Miguel Angel Angulo, Fernando Morientes, David Villa, Edu, David Silva, Hedwigs Maduro, Joaquin, Sunny, Juan Mata, Vicente, Ever Banega, Ruben Baraja, David Albelda, Emiliano Moretti, Miguel Brito, Alexis, Marco Caneira, Carlos Marchena, Raul Albiol, Santiago Canizares, Timo Hilderbrand
