2002-03 France Home Shirt Size Extra Large
THE VITALS:
Team: France
Brand: Adidas
Era: 2002-03 (Used for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the 2003 FIFA Confederations Cup final, and throughout the 2004 European Championships qualifying campaign)
Name/Number: -
CONDITION: GOOD
The shirt remains generally in good condition, for its age however, I would opine that this shirt is in great condition, however the mesh does bear some pulls and signs of wear, and there is staining in some parts also.
DIMENSIONS:
Size: Extra Large
Pit to Pit Measurement: 23.5 inches
Shirt Length: 31.5 inches
As per the fitting of shirts in that era, this comes up very baggy; and regrettably, while the sizing has worn off the label, having measured the shirt; I have decried that this would be akin to a modern day extra large.
DESCRIPTION:
On the eve of the 2002 FIFA World Cup; France were the consensus best international team on the planet given that they were then reigning: World Champions, European Champions, and Confederations Cup champions! To usher ‘Les Bleus’ into the far east, Adidas made a simple, yet classy offering consisting of a simple royal blue backdrop, with red side panels. Adidas equipped a series of shirts with a 2-tone netted effect, and this was one of them with the first layer being made using a mesh.
